The Hunger Games Review

Thriller reviews

The Hunger Games

Hunger games is a futuristic film with 12 districts. Two representatives are chosen at a random lottery to compete in the hunger games, the television games. There are 24 competitors in the games and 16 year old Katniss volunteers to take her sisters place against stronger better contestants. The games are a fight to the death and Katniss and Peeta undergo intense training before battling  in the hunger games. The point of the games is to kill each other and be the last surviving person in the wilderness. Katniss has the useful talents of being a great hunter and archer and has no choice but to compete for her life in the brutal game.

The hunger games is a good thriller. This is because it always has that element of surprise and what next for the audience. It has dramatic music at dramatic moments to create more suspense and thrill and is overall very suspense throughout. The film constantly makes the audience think if the main characters which are shown to be good survive till the end with a flow of action packed things happening to doubt it. Throughout the film each scene shows and tells something new to the audience and is a fast pace film which makes you sit on the edge of your seat. There is not much dialogue in hunger games and that adds by the suspense as it is the element of surprise. It also makes a good thriller as it is a race against time which most thrillers are with the viewers doing the countdown thought to see if she is the winner and the main thing, survives.
